"The fifth Il-76 plane of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at the Bataynitsa airfield (Republic of Serbia), located 20 km northwest of the city of Belgrade," RIA Novosti reports.
The department noted that Russian military specialists and equipment for epidemiological diagnostics and disinfection measures arrived aboard the aircraft.
Earlier, the Russian embassy said that on April 3-4, it is planned to carry out 11 flights that will deliver humanitarian aid to Serbia to fight the coronavirus.
On March 26, Serbia asked Russia to help in the fight against COVID-19. On April 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the creation of an aviation group to deliver assistance to Serbia.
