South China Sea China Sea Police Vessel sinking Vietnamese fishing boat April 4 7:24

The Vietnamese government has announced that it has protested China by announcing that China Coast Guard vessels have sank operating fishing vessels in Vietnam in the territorial waters of the South China Sea.

This was announced by the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 3.

According to the report, the Chinese Coast Guard boat sunk in a fishing boat in operation in the Paracel Islands in the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.

Eight crew members of the fishing boat were safe.

In response, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs protested against the Chinese embassy in Vietnam on March 3, saying, "Chinese ships have violated Vietnam's sovereignty and endangered the lives of their crew." Allegedly asked not to repeat the same actions.

Regarding the South China Sea, China and other parts of the country have contested over the jurisdiction over almost all jurisdictions, while Vietnam and others have claimed control over some islands.

In 2014, conflict escalated, with China's installation of undersea oilfield drilling rigs in the waters near the Paracel Islands colliding with ships from both countries.
