The Ministry of Labor announced the upcoming indexation of social benefits on February 19. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov said that almost 4 million people were affected.
According to the department, the sale will cost 21.7 billion rubles.
Later, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a government decree on the indexation of social pensions from April 1.
