In recent weeks, the Stockholm region has strengthened its information efforts in the area. In addition to Swedish, information material has now been disseminated in 15 different languages in shopping malls, shops, to representatives of religious communities, civic offices and at personal meetings outdoors to reach as many people as possible.

The overrepresentation of people infected by covid-19 in the Järva area raises the question of the importance of narrow-mindedness, language difficulties and poor health in a situation with a pandemic in society. How should older people be able to isolate themselves when multiple generations share households? How should professionals be able to work from home when many people work in the service sector or with transport and trade?

In Agenda's studio to discuss this we have two guests.

Bi Puranen , associate professor of economic history and researcher at the Institute for Future Studies. She has long researched the values and norms of overseas immigrants in Sweden.

Jihan Mohamed , who himself grew up in the Järva area. She is a board member of the Swedish-Somali Medical Association and one of those who earlier this week sounded alarm about the rapid spread of infection in the area.

Agenda has also been in contact with the other two metropolitan regions, Region Skåne and Region west Götaland. None of these have yet seen an increased incidence of covid-19 infected in exposed areas.
