March 27, 2020 22:47 Canada will offer a 75% subsidy to employees of small and medium-sized enterprises affected by the crisis. This was announced by Prime Minister Trudeau. Previously, the central bank cut interest rates to 0.25% as a contribution to cushion the impact of the pandemic. The subsidy will be paid for a maximum of three months, and is retroactive to March 15th. "Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they are facing economic difficulties and profound uncertainties," said Trudeau.
