1,118 people registered as candidates for the National Assembly in 253 districts nationwide, and the average regional competition rate was 4.4 to 1.

It is higher than the 3.7-1 in the 20th general election in 2016 and the 3.6-1 in the 19th general election in 2012, similar to the 4.5th in 2008 18th general election.

The most competitive electoral district was Jongno, Seoul, where the big match between Lee Nak-yeon and Hwang Gyo-an was successful, with 12 candidates registered.

The oldest is candidate Park Joon-young, a 83-year-old dividend candidate running for Jongno in Seoul, and the candidate Shin Min-ju, a 25-year-old basic income candidate running for Eunpyeong in Seoul.

In the first general election, the interlocked proportional representative system was introduced, and 38 political parties voted on the proportional vote ballot, but it was more than 50cm.

The ballot was so long that it was impossible to use the ballot sorter introduced in the local elections in 2002, and it became an election that required counting votes again by hand 20 years after the 2000 general election.

National unification symbols by party were also confirmed, followed by the Democratic Party No. 1 and the United Party No. 2, followed by the Socialist Party, the Future Korean Party, and the Civic Party and the Justice Party.

In the proportional ballot, the Democratic Party and the United Party, which do not have candidates for the proportional representation, took the top space, and the US and the Citizens' Party took second and third spaces respectively.
