As SVT Nyheter Öst could tell already this weekend, the Linköpings politicians have arranged so that outdoor restaurants in the city should be open already for the next weekend - more than a month earlier than usual.
This is because of the Corona virus that has led to fewer and fewer people visiting pubs, cafes and restaurants when the authorities urge the public to avoid large crowds.

Electric bikes offered free of charge

Now also comes the next initiative when stores are offered to borrow free of charge the electric bikes that are located around Linköping. The purpose is for the stores to be able to use these for home delivery of goods, food and the like. So called bikeaways.

- Especially so that stores and restaurants should be able to deliver to those who are at risk and should not be out, but I also notice that people are very fond of the local, that they want to keep their physical store or favorite restaurant. Then it is important that we help each other now so that they remain, says David Nilsson, CEO of Citysamverkan in Linköping.
