The Court of Instruction number 6 of the National Court investigating the so-called 'Punic Operation' has summoned the administrator of the Gürtel plot, Isabel Jordán , to testify as a witness on April 15. The citation takes place after Jordan, sentenced to 20 years in prison in two of the pieces of the case (the one investigating the stand of Valencia in Fitur and the First Time of the plot), has agreed with the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor to explain the data that he knows in relation to the contracting by the Community of Madrid of the Over Marketing event company. And especially to detail what was the intervention of the former 'popular' president Esperanza Aguirre in these public tenders.
As EL MUNDO has been able to know through sources close to the conversations held during the last months between Jordan and the Public Ministry, who was one of Francisco Correa's most trusted people in his companies, he is willing to say that "Aguirre was aware of all the contracts " with the company owned by the Argentine Daniel Mercado , investigated for irregularly financing the PP in several autonomous communities such as Madrid and the Balearic Islands.
However, Jordan plans to specify that Aguirre, according to the information available, "did not personally benefit" from these contracts "but his image was improved . " According to the story that Jordan plans to detail, when the Correa companies landed in the Community of Madrid there were already a number of entities dedicated to the organization of events that were awarded the large contracts and, among them, was Over Marketing. In this way, as Jordan explained, "there were councils for which only Over worked" and which the Easy Concept company of Correa could not access.
The information available to this former worker of the Correa Group is due to the fact that Easy Concept was used by Over Marketing to present itself to some of the tenders and distribute the subsequent business, so it will explain that it had direct information on these processes.
According to Jordan, Aguirre "did not take a single euro" but the work of these companies for the Community of Madrid allowed him to carry out more than half a thousand events a year that allowed him to have an important social and political notoriety. According to the same sources consulted by this newspaper, Jordan essentially attributes to Aguirre a considerable "ambition of power" but excuses him from any kind of commission or personal gain.
The next April will not be the first judicial declaration in which Jordan addresses the role of Aguirre in public procurement. In November 2016, during the first major trial of the Gürtel plot, he already said that the former president of Madrid was looking for "her position at the political level because she was the one who came out in the events" organized by the companies mentioned above.
