The Community of Madrid sent this Sunday an instruction to all nursing homes in the region, public and private, to limit visits to "reduce the risk of infection among people residing in nursing homes ."
According to the instructions of the General Directorate of Public Health, visits to residents are limited to "strictly necessary" and "visits of persons with respiratory symptoms, such as cough or respiratory distress, " will not be allowed .
In the case of "inescapable" visits, the visitor will wear "surgical mask".
To complete the precautionary measures dictated in this standard, Public Health also orders "to withdraw from the activity with these patients professionals who present respiratory symptoms."
