The reason for the visitor restrictions is not primarily the corona virus, but the number of seasonal influenza and winter sickness in the county is increasing. Over the past ten days, 34 new cases of influenza have been confirmed and eleven cases of winter malaise.

Five patients with influenza are cared for at the hospital.

The risk of spreading the coronavirus covid-19 is also included in the decision, although no cases have yet been identified in the county.

The restrictions apply for the time being and thus apply to visits to the hospital's care wards, as well as primary care wards in the county. Anyone who intends to visit anyone in these departments must contact the department in advance. Only those who have special reasons for the visit are allowed to come in.
