As of February 29, of the 110 major water conservancy projects under construction in China, 80 projects in 22 provinces have resumed work, accounting for 72.7% of the total. Without counting the 26 projects in Hubei, Northeast China and Northwest China that are not yet ready for resumption due to climatic reasons, the rate of resumption of major water conservancy projects has reached 95.2%. The number of construction workers on the resumed project site is 47,100, accounting for about 60% of the normal construction population.

Major water conservancy projects have a fundamental and important role in promoting economic development. The Ministry of Water Resources stated that the next step will be to urge the resumption of major water conservancy projects in the Northeast and Northwest regions, and strive to resume more than 100 projects by the end of March.
