The Corona Virus Spread Map continued to expand today to include new regions of the world, amid accelerating developments related to this virus and the assurance of the World Health Organization that it cannot be stopped immediately, but only work to prevent its spread.

The organization announced that the virus has become prevalent in more than 49 countries with the number of infections exceeding 80 thousand and 726 cases, including about 4315 cases outside China, while the total number of deaths due to the virus exceeded 2859 cases. The organization also raised the risk of the spread of the virus in the world to "the highest level", and called on all countries that have not yet recorded infections to prepare for the arrival of the epidemic, warning that they will make a "fatal mistake" if they think it is immune from it.

China
The National Health Committee said today that it has detected 427 new cases, taking the total number of confirmed cases of the virus to 79,251. While the number of deaths reached 2838 cases by the end of Friday.

South Korea
Today, 219 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total number of cases to 3,150, making the country the second largest affected by the epidemic after China. Three additional deaths were confirmed, bringing the total number of disease victims to 16.

Iran
BBC Radio Farsi reported that at least 210 people died in Iran due to the virus, most of them in Tehran and Qom, figures denied by official authorities. On the other hand, the authorities announced on Friday that eight people died from the virus, which raises the number of deaths to 34 and infected to 388, including four parliamentarians, in a country that is one of the countries most affected by the spread of the virus.

The Iranian Minister of Health also announced the closure of all schools until next Tuesday due to fears of its spread.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health said that it had not recorded any new infection with corona during the past 24 hours and other cases are stable, and called on citizens not to travel at the present time to avoid the risk of an outbreak of the virus. Yesterday, two new infections were registered in Kuwait, which brought the total number of injuries in the country to 45.

Saudi
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that the citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries will be temporarily suspended from Makkah and Madinah.

And Riyadh had suspended last Thursday the entry of individuals to perform Umrah or visit the Prophet's Mosque in the city, as well as travelers from countries where the Coronavirus poses a threat as determined by health authorities.

UAE
On Friday, Abu Dhabi authorities imposed a precautionary quarantine on guests in two hotels that dealt with two professional cycling drivers from Italy infected with Corona virus. The last two stages of the Emirates Bicycle Tour were canceled, after confirming the injury of Italian participants. Other people in contact with Italians on Yas Island were isolated from their homes.

Lebanon
The Ministry of Education announced the closure of schools from February 29 to March 8 as a preventive measure due to the virus. The authorities have taken drastic measures to deter the spread of the epidemic, including closing schools, canceling sporting and cultural events, and imposing quarantine on 11 towns in the north, which is the economic lung of the country. Washington has warned its citizens against unnecessary travel to Italy, which is a major destination for American tourists. And two US officials said early Friday that a meeting of leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) that was scheduled to be hosted by the United States on March 14 due to fears of the spread of the virus, would be postponed.

Algeria
The Italian authorities announced on Friday evening the evacuation of their HIV-infected citizen from Algeria by private plane.

The virus recorded its first infections in Australia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Lithuania, Belarus, South Africa and Azerbaijan, while the Netherlands recorded the second infection with the virus, and recorded three cases in Mexico.
