Lavrov discussed sanctions with the Foreign Minister of Venezuela

This is stated in a message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva.

“The parties continued discussion of pressing issues of bilateral cooperation,” the text says.

It is specified that special attention was paid to the impact of unilateral sanctions on the social and humanitarian situation in the Bolivarian Republic.

Earlier, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said that Venezuela is submitting a complaint to the Hague Tribunal for the sanctions that Washington imposes against Caracas.
