A 50-year-old policeman killed his partner with his service weapon this Sunday morning in Le Val, near Brignoles, in the Var. The facts took place around 7 am, we learned from a police source, confirming information from France 3 Provence Alpes and France Bleu Provence. The victim had just announced to her spouse that she wanted to separate from him.

This police officer, member of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of Toulon, "telephoned the gendarmes to explain their gesture," said the same police source at 20 minutes . He also called his 19-year-old son, who quickly moved to the scene. He arrived there at the same time as the gendarmes and discovered the bodies of his parents.

The investigation for intentional homicide was entrusted to the Brignoles research brigade.
