Former Knutson colleague and Lego designer Peterson said on the 22nd that Knutson suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as "frozen human disease." It is an incurable neurological disease that causes quadriplegia and muscle atrophy. He was admitted to the Anker Fjord Sanatorium outside a small town on the west coast of Denmark and died a week later.

Knutson worked at LEGO as a designer from 1968 to 2000. In the 1970s, he devoted himself to the development of a lego block man with hands and feet. This toy was introduced in 1978 and is now a legend of Lego.

Knutson's widow said her husband was a creative man. She said: "The Lego building was originally empty. He drew the villain."

In addition to the little building blocks, Knutson also developed some of Lego's most classic themes, such as the Lego Space series, the Pirate series and so on.
