Turkey is tightening control at the state border with Iran amid an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection with COVID-2019 in this country, said the head of the Turkish Ministry of Health, Fahrettin Koja, following a telephone conversation with an Iranian counterpart.

“Turkish sanitary and epidemiological services will strengthen the control of passengers arriving from Iran. If arrivals show symptoms similar to those of coronavirus such as fever, cough, runny nose, they will be denied entry into the country, ”Milliyet quoted him as saying.

The Turkish Minister said that Iran has already recorded 18 cases of infection with coronavirus, five deaths from the consequences of the disease, as well as 758 suspected cases.

Earlier, a student from Russia, located in the Iranian city of Qum, told the FAN about the situation in connection with the spread of coronavirus.
