February 16, 202023:30 A car bomb exploded in a town on the Syrian border controlled by Turkish forces, killing two people and injuring five others. The explosion occurred in Tal Abyad, conquered by Ankara forces and pro-Turkish Syrian militias during the offensive against the Kurds launched in October 2019. There have been no claims so far but, according to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, it would be work of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (Ypg), considered terrorists by Ankara.
