His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, yesterday received Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Dr. Abi Ahmed, who is currently visiting the country.

His Highness welcomed the visit of the Ethiopian Prime Minister to the country during the meeting that took place in Abu Dhabi, and discussed the various areas of cooperation and opportunities for strengthening them between the UAE and Ethiopia in various sectors, especially development, economic and investment in a way that serves their common interests.

The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the progress and development of bilateral relations, confirming their mutual keenness to consolidate and expand them.

His Highness and Dr. Abi Ahmed also exchanged views on developments in regional and international events and developments, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.

Also, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, yesterday received Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the French "Naval" group Herve Jules, which is specialized in the field of maritime defense industries.

During the meeting, His Highness and Hervey Jolo discussed the potential for cooperation and opportunities between the Naval Group and its counterparts from the specialized companies and relevant institutions in the United Arab Emirates in the field of advanced marine defense industries and systems. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern.

In addition, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, yesterday received Director-General of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva, who is visiting the UAE to attend the "International Women's Forum - Dubai 2020".

The meeting, which was attended by His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, dealt with the relations between the UAE and the International Monetary Fund and the role of the growing and diversified UAE economy as an effective model in supporting the business environment, flexibility and growth, and the potentials to benefit from mutual economic experiences and practices.
