Griveaux case: the investigation advances on the distribution of private video

While Agnes Buzyn has just been nominated by La République en Marche as a candidate for mayor of Paris, the investigation is progressing on the broadcasting of Benjamin Griveaux's private video. A video that caused a shock wave in the municipal race.

Juan Branco, the lawyer close to the Russian artist Piotr Pavlenski, will no longer be able to defend him. He was withdrawn as part of the open investigation into the broadcast of the intimate video of Benjamin Griveaux and which shuffles the cards in a spectacular manner in the Parisian municipal elections.

A decision that the lawyer immediately condemned in a tweet, denouncing an “ exceptional violation of the rights of the defense ”.

The prosecution, in an exceptional violation of the rights of the defense, decided to oppose my appointment by Piotr Pavlenski in the Griveaux case.

Arrested for violence on the evening of December 31 causing two stab wounds, the Russian artist had finally been placed in police custody this Sunday as part of what has become "the Griveaux affair".

The day before, Alexandra de Taddeo, the companion of Piotr Pavlenski, had also been placed in police custody for " heads of invasion of privacy " and " dissemination without the consent of the person of 'sexual images '.

Indeed, according to sources close to the investigation, the young woman would be the recipient of the videos sent in 2018 by Benjamin Griveaux. But for the moment, it is still unclear whether it was she who transmitted them directly.

This new police custody by Piotr Pavlenski cannot, however, exceed 48 hours from the first. It should therefore end no later than Monday, February 17 in the afternoon.
