President Donald Trump assured Tuesday that the "tyranny" of Venezuelan socialist President Nicolas Maduro would be "broken" during his State of the Union address to the United States Congress.

“Maduro is an illegitimate leader, a tyrant who brutalizes his people. But Maduro's grip on tyranny will be shattered and destroyed, "said the White House tenant, before cheering Venezuelan opponent Juan Guaido in the room.

Juan Guaido, recognized by the United States and more than fifty countries as the interim president of Venezuela, was one of the presidential couple's guests of honor for this traditional address.

In an all-out speech, Donald Trump shuffled the themes of the upcoming campaign for the November 3 poll: his "powerful wall" against immigration from Mexico, his intention to ban "late" abortion, and the accusations against the democratic candidates who advocate according to him "a socialist takeover of our health system". On foreign policy, the president quickly passed over his confrontation with Iran and his Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, before reaffirming his intention to “bring home” eventually American soldiers from Afghanistan where, a- he said, they are not intended to ensure the maintenance of order for other countries.
