Attempt car hijacking with gun-like objects

Shortly after 17 o'clock on Sunday evening, a man was subjected to a car hijacking attempt in Högsbotorp in Gothenburg.

"He was forced under his gun threat his car key," says Martina Saghamre, guard officer of the police in the West region.

If the gun was right or not, the police cannot answer at this time, as the man disappeared from the scene on foot.

- We did not find the gun, so we can not say whether it was a real, a soft-air gun or a replica. Unfortunately, it is common with soft-air guns and such like this, says Martina Saghamre.

During Sunday evening, the police searched the man with great force, including a helicopter. However, the suspect has not been found.

The man who fell victim to the robbery attempt is shocked but physically unharmed according to the police, which labels the incident as a gross robbery.

- We have seized his car for technical examination to see if we can secure tracks, says Martina Saghamre.
