The government wants to impose a tax of SEK 0.30 on the plastic bags you put fruits, vegetables and bread in when you shop. But maybe they will lose out on that tax idea from the big food chains.

Several food chains have chosen to phase out the plastic bags inside the store. Instead, it is compost bags that now apply in more and more grocery stores.

"It has to do with the tax, but it is also in time to be part of the environment," says Magdalena Avstranden, acting store manager at Coop Marieberg in Örebro.
