During the evening's extra-annual meeting, the future of the club was decided. At seven o'clock the message came - there will be no resolution. Eight were for the club to live on, five wanted a resolution and one person voted blankly.

How does it feel?

- It was a damn exciting question because I resigned tonight. I no longer believe in this project, says Johan Johnqvist, chairman of Kungsbacka DFF.

During the meeting, the Board noted that there are no more than ten people and SEK 1.3 million in revenue for the club to survive. Despite this, the club now lives on.

"Everything goes except small children and tin soldiers, but I think it can be difficult to join the elite without any players from Kungsbacka and without any real backing from the associations," says Johan Johnqvist.

Lost sponsor money and player escape

Since the Kungsbacka DFF slipped from the damsel Swede to the elite, the club's finances have been strained. At present, they have only one contracted player and chairman Johan Johnqvist has previously stated that after last year's contract roll it was difficult to attract players to the club.

The fact that the club's home plan Tingbergsvallen was rejected for damall Swedes and the club instead had to play their home games in Varberg has meant less sponsorship revenue than expected.
