That is, that of Évole. We know perfectly well what is yours, because the long trajectory at the helm of 'Salvados' , a program that he retired a few months ago to delegate the main role in Gonzo, was marked by a very specific television identity, very powerful thanks to his cinematic aesthetics , and also settled with milestones that can only try to blur who puts the envy before the applause: interviewed the Pope, twice received Maduro, unmasked the great institutional lie of Puigdemont days before he escaped, got Rajoy to open the Doors in his office for an hour that became electrifying television, uncovered scandals, and so on.
Surely, the most admirable of 'Salvados' as a television format was not so much in his model and commitment to critical and investigative journalism - and with much less ideological bias than his critics accuse him -, but in Jordi's own evolution Evole him as a cathodic animal. Remember that the modern 'Bran' has nothing to do with the embryo of the program, which began as 'Saved by the campaign', with homage to the immortal Screech - not before the 2008 general election - and that it was an extension of Évole that was announced on TV3 in one of the programs directed by Andreu Buenafuente on the Catalan regional channel before making the jump to Madrid.
There, Évole began as 'El Follonero' , a comic role that interrupted and contradicted the presenter, and was inspired by the countrymen of his neighborhood - San Ildefonso and Gavarra in Cornellà, or 'El Satélite', a way of referring to the place which distinguishes native people from those who only know it from ears - who, with a fickle and irreverent phlegm, often make a mess in bars, in the market and in family gatherings.
But like the passage of the caterpillar to the chrysalis, El Follonero metamorphosed into Évole, which although he is still a bit messy in his opinion columns in newspapers and on his Twitter account, it has long been his mission as steely journalism and 'arty' , also equidistant in the best sense of the word, which is not to marry anyone, and that the partial inclination is not always the same and does not influence the denounced facts. 'Lo de Évole', which opens this Sunday in La Sexta, will be like a more personal and author version of Salvados: in his first program, life in jail will be approached, in the style of interviews with inmates by Jesús Quintero , with the participation, in addition to Loco de la Colina, of distinguished inmates (and former provisional inmates) such as Francisco Granados, Sandro Rosell and Oriol Junqueras .
His formats have been successful, and that has led Évole to be an entrepreneur who obtains extensive benefits with his producer, Producciones del Barrio , founded in 2015 and of which he is the sole administrator. Évole separated himself from El Terrat, the producer of Buenafuente, to manage 'Salvados' independently - it was a good cake from which the whole could remain, and not the part -, and incidentally to create new formats, such as 'Matchday' , a documentary about Barça, or now 'Lo de Évole'. According to 2018 data, the company enters about five million euros gross per year, of which one million correspond to net profit . These numbers allow you to employ a staff of more than 25 fixed journalists and have a comfortable personal life, with two properties: one on the outskirts of Barcelona and another in the coastal area of Empordà. For now, nothing indicates that this solid, happy and lucky trend is going to twist.
