Dubai Roads and Transport Authority intends to make a change in the start times of the metro service for the red line, in only seven days collected, starting from the end of January to mid-March, due to conducting operational tests for systems integration in the «Masar 2020» project, and the days affected by the change coincide with the following dates January 31, February 7, February 14, February 21, and February 28, in addition to March 6 and March 13 this year.

The service for the operation of the Dubai Metro Red Line will start on the mentioned days and dates from two o'clock in the morning until one o'clock in the morning the following day, with the operation resuming as per the usual dates on March 14.

The Executive Director of the Rail Agency of the Authority, Abdel Mohsen Ibrahim Younis, called on the public to use alternative services, such as buses and other means of transportation, with the need to plan the metro users for their trips in advance, stressing that the change in the operating times of the metro service for the red line will be due to conducting operational tests to integrate systems into a project "Path of 2020", to ensure optimum operation and normal service flow is not affected these days.

He said: “The Authority is always keen on not affecting the daily routine of the metro visitors, whether on normal days or on Fridays and official holidays, except in special cases like these, and constantly strives to develop and improve the starting times of the Dubai Metro in a way that suits the needs of the public and their daily mobility. To make them happy, and to raise their level of satisfaction with the services provided by the commission. ”
