According to Sobyanin, if signs of the disease are detected, medical teams will be immediately dispatched to conduct a “thorough examination”.

“We will additionally purchase medical equipment, respirators, protective suits and masks, manual disinfectant dispensers that doctors may need,” the Moscow Mayor assured, adding that currently there are enough funds.

He also said that the possibility of organizing expeditious deliveries to Moscow of “modern test systems capable of quickly and reliably diagnosing coronavirus” is being developed.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin ordered the organization of an operational headquarters for the prevention and control of the spread of coronavirus.

A report on the situation with the coronavirus will be regularly presented to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
