On Tuesday evening, a truck crashed under the railway viaduct on Vasavägen in central Eskilstuna. All train traffic between Eskilstuna and Strängnäs stopped until technicians have checked the viaduct. - We must check the viaduct before train traffic can go as usual, says Peter Jonsson at the Swedish Transport Administration's press release.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, technicians are on their way to investigate if there is any damage to the viaduct.
- There is no current forecast when traffic can get started, says Peter Jonsson.
No person was injured in the accident itself.
- The driver did well and the car was taken away to the workshop. The traffic flows on as usual, says internal commander Gunnar Henriksson.
