Lyon's attacking midfielder Martin Terrier left the field after being victims of vagal discomfort during the Lyon-Toulouse match on Sunday in Ligue 1, his club announced.

After about twenty minutes of play (0-0), the Lyonnais player lay down on the ground, gasping, before being placed in a lateral safety position by the medical teams, then carefully exiting on a stretcher after long minutes of care.

"Our player is better and he is aware," reassured OL on social networks about twenty minutes later, adding that Terrier had been the victim of "vagal discomfort", which could remind supporters of the when Bafétimbi Gomis was playing in Lyon - the French striker had already suffered similar discomforts on the lawn.

Terrier was replaced by Karl Toko Ekambi, the new Lyon recruit, and the match resumed.
