Värmland's museum has an opening for the exhibition Speaking Memories - The Last Witnesses of the Holocaust.

Lizzie Oved Scheja, Director of Jewish Culture in Sweden.

"We must fight anti-Semitism," says Lizzie Oved Scheja, director of Jewish culture in Sweden.

Want to preserve survivors' perspective

The exhibition will run until May 24 and Värmland is the first county after Stockholm to show it.

"It is important to tell about the awfulness that happened," says Karin Åberg Waern, exhibition manager.

She believes that the exhibition is important, not only to remind the Holocaust, but also to preserve the survivors' perspective.

- There are people who are starting to get quite old. The youngest is 83 years old, so they will not be able to pass on these stories themselves, says Karin Åberg Waren.
