The Russian leader will take part in the forum “Keeping the memory of the Holocaust, fighting anti-Semitism”.

The forum will bring together about 50 heads of state and government, including the presidents of France and Ukraine, the vice president of the United States, and the leadership of the European Union.

Putin will also attend the opening ceremony in Jerusalem of a monument to the defenders and residents of the besieged Leningrad, which was designed by Petersburg and Israeli architects.

Earlier, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said that he was currently not sure whether he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Israel.

Assistant Russian leader Yuri Ushakov spoke about Kiev’s request for a meeting between Zelensky and Putin during a visit to Israel.

As Ushakov noted, “it is very doubtful” that lengthy discussions will take place.
