Shortly after nine o'clock, several police officers were called to a school in central Uppsala due to a suspected weapons crime.
"The school staff contact us and on the spot we find two young boys with a gun," says Jonas Eronen, press officer at Uppsala police.
The police are investigating whether the weapon was sharp or not - that is, whether it could be used or not.
"But regardless of whether the gun was useful or not, it obviously creates a great sense of security and means that the police put in great resources when we get an alarm about a suspected weapon at a school," says Jonas Eronen.
