Between May 6, 2015 and February 19, 2016, a man and a woman in Eskilstuna have on 52 occasions tricked friends and acquaintances to lend a total of SEK 1,656,472.

Emotional pressure

The man and the woman used emotional pressure to borrow money. Among other things, it was about debts, that they were close to being evicted and that they were threatened by motorcycle gangs and the mafia.

Both defendants are sentenced to 52 cases of fraud to prison for 1 year and 3 months. They will also jointly pay damages of SEK 1,005,800.

Some of the plaintiffs have been repaid part of the loan amount and both the husband and the woman are refusing a crime.
