The American artist Madonna canceled the concert she was going to give this Sunday in Lisbon, the fifth of the eight she had planned in the Portuguese capital and with which the European tour starts to promote her album Madame X.
The promoter of the shows, Everything is new, announced on its Facebook page two hours before the start of the concert that the singer could not go on stage today, without explaining the reasons.
However, in recent days the Portuguese press warned that in the concerts in Lisbon it could be appreciated that Madonna was not 100% physically and that there were still sequels of past injuries that had already led her to cancel shows.
The 61-year-old American woman started the European tour last Sunday at the Lisbon Colosseum and has already offered four concerts in the Portuguese capital, where she is still waiting for her on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
The promoter has not given information on whether these concerts could also be canceled.
Madonna takes to the stage her album Madame X, designed when she lived in the Portuguese capital and marked by the sounds of the country, such as fado, and Cape Verdean rhythms.
The tour, which will also take you to London and Paris, will conclude at the end of March.
