- We see that the entire judicial system needs more resources, because the violence in society does not really turn. We also see that courts are more urgent in this round.

That's what the Liberal Party leader Nyamko Sabuni said in an interview with SVT News on Friday.

At present, negotiations are underway between the government and their partners on the care budget. The negotiations are a response to the opposition's demand to immediately spend more money on welfare.

Want to present before the opposition

Exactly how much money L wants to invest in welfare and the judiciary is not yet clear - but the ambition is to tell it before the opposition will agree on an extra amending budget in Parliament.

- It will be a lot of money. We see that the needs in the community for the municipalities are great, so I hope there will be enough grants. We must return to the justice system exactly how much it will be, says Nyamko Sabuni.

M, KD and V want to pressure the government

The Moderates have demanded an extra subsidy of 2.6 billion for police and the judiciary, as well as 3 billion for welfare. The Left Party and the Christian Democrats have also joined to push the government for more money for welfare. The three opposition parties have openly stated that they can negotiate with each other.

The Finance Committee Chairman Fredrik Olovsson (S) said after Thursday's meeting that there is no apparent majority for the content proposed, but the issue is being debated as to why several parties want to continue negotiating.
