The EELV candidate in Montpellier Clothilde Ollier - Jérôme Diesnis / Maxele Presse

The polls follow one another and look alike for Clothilde Ollier (EELV). Once again, the Harris Interactive poll, commissioned by the team of the green candidate and published by Midi Libre, the favorite of the municipal authorities in Montpellier. The study was carried out on a sample of 616 people, by telephone, from January 7 to 11.

Clothilde Ollier is credited with 19% of the voting intentions and the outgoing mayor Philippe Saurel (various left), who has still not said his intention to run, by 18%. Alenka Doulain (“We are”, supported by France Insoumise), Mohed Altrad (without label), Michaël Delafosse (PS) and Olaf Rokvam (RN) are at 10%.

Three hypotheses in the second round, Clothilde Ollier still winning

Hérault MP Patrick Vignal (LREM) gathers 7% of the voting intentions, Alex Larue (LR and UDI) 6%, Rémi Gaillard, whose popularity is tested for the first time in this poll, is 5%, Jean-Louis Roumégas (ex-EELV) at 3%, and Anne Brissaud (New center), which recently joined Patrick Vignal, at 2%.

In the second round, Harris Interactive studied three hypotheses. In the first, the list of Clothilde Ollier, supported by EELV and La France insoumise, would become mayor with 35% of the votes, ahead of Philippe Saurel (24%), Patrick Vignal (16%), Michaël Delafosse (14%) and Olaf Rokvam (11%). In the second case, if Alenka Doulain remains in the second round, Clothilde Ollier, supported by EELV, the Insoumis of Montpellier and the PS would reach 37%, Philippe Saurel would be at 26%, Patrick Vignal at 15%, Olaf Rokvam at 12% .

Finally, if seven candidates remained in the second round (a very unlikely hypothesis), the green candidate would also come out victorious at the polls in Montpellier, with 28% of the vote, ahead of Philippe Saurel (18%), Mohed Altrad (16%), Michaël Delafosse (14%), Olak Rokvam (10%), Patrick Vignal (8%) and Alex Larue (6%).
