In the ranking of the most fortunate regions by the number of winners, the first line was taken by Moscow and the Moscow region, where 20 residents won 1 million rubles at a time.
Seven people won a million in St. Petersburg, six in Bashkiria, five in the Rostov Region, and four in the Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk Regions.
A total of 28,801,695 tickets were won in the New Year draw. The total winnings amounted to 3 507 979 503 rubles.
As previously reported in Stoloto, the lottery winner-billionaire from Moscow will receive the winning amount minus personal income tax of 13%.
The billionaire must visit the Stoloto lottery center, in which all the necessary documents will be drawn up. First, the ticket will be authenticated, and within six months the winner will receive the full prize.
