“He will be engaged in the development and implementation of state policy in the field of international information security,” the Foreign Ministry said on Facebook.
It is specified that the department, in particular, will deal with the use of information technology for military-political, terrorist and criminal purposes.
The unit will also oversee the activities of international organizations and forums in this area.
