The Ministry of Health and Community Protection issued a circular withdrawing a medical device due to a defect that might lead to the death of the patient. It also withdrew two medications from a drug to treat epileptic seizures due to bacterial contamination.

The ministry issued a circular by withdrawing the medical device, Medfusion 4000 syringe pumps, manufactured by Smiths Medical ASD, Inc., and the method is an injection pump to deliver blood and blood products, or prescription medications to the patient under observation, and indicated that the reason for the withdrawal is the possibility of stopping Warning about work, and hence interruption of treatment, which may cause serious injury or death.

The Ministry affirmed that this medical method should not be used and returned to the supplier.
