The law establishes a norm of a cell area in a pre-trial detention center of at least 4 square meters. m. for each child under the age of three years, if he is in the cell with his mother, and also prohibits the placement of pregnant women and mothers with children in the same cell with other women.
Earlier, Federation Council approved the law on separate cells in pre-trial detention centers for pregnant women.
