Al-Kaabi said in a statement to Emirates News Agency "WAM" today that during the past decade, the UAE welcomed the International Atomic Energy Agency and the International Nuclear Operators Association to carry out more than 40 tasks that included conducting reviews and comparisons and gathering expert opinions on the Barakah nuclear power plant project and This is with a view to ensuring the progress of construction operations before starting actual operation in accordance with international best practices .. These measures also took into account the importance of conforming to the strict regulatory requirements of the Federal Nuclear Control Authority in the UAE.

And he added that the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and its subsidiaries work with a multinational team of experts in the field of nuclear energy who put the safety of employees, society and the environment a priority above all considerations during all stages of the UAE peaceful nuclear program.
