The General Director of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, Mattar Al Tayer, said: «The project included the implementation of two bridges of the assembly road next to the two existing bridges, and the implementation of links that serve the traffic flowing to the right and north and the rotation to the back, and the expansion of roads connected to the intersection. The intersection, along with lighting works, rain water drainage, diversion and protection of the existing services or the paths reserved for them », indicating that the new intersection provides free traffic in all directions with a capacity of 4400 vehicles per hour, and also reduces the flight time for those heading from a street Lahbab to the east to Al Qudra Street to the north by eight minutes, and reduces the journey time from Lihabab Street to the west to Al Qudra Street to the north by four minutes.

He explained that the expansion and development of Al Qudra Street project is one of the strategic projects, with the aim of providing a major axis starting from the Jumeirah area through Umm Suqeim Street, which was developed by constructing two bridges with a capacity of three tracks in each direction, the first is a bridge over the eastern parallel road (Al Asayel Street), and the second Over the western parallel road (First Al Khail Street), and the flow continues in the interchanged bridge on Al Khail Road, then the intersection of the Arabian Ranches on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street, and from it to Al Qudra Street, where the traffic continues to flow over the Al Qudra Bridge on Emirates Road, all the way to an area Melted stairs.

He pointed out that the authority developed Al-Qudra Street in several stages, in which it opened in the first stage the expansion of the street from one path in each direction to three paths in each direction with a length of 12 km, starting from the intersection of the streets of Habab and Al-Qudrah to the Bab Al-Shams roundabout including the new bridge, and in a stage Subsequent expansion of two bridges with a capacity of three tracks in each direction, and the implementation of a vehicle and beauty crossing on Al Qudra Street, and a bike track on Al Qudra Street has been completed with a length of 18 km, and it includes a bicycle break that includes: public facilities and shops for renting bicycles, tools and clothing related to this sport , A fully-equipped medical clinic, Dubai Speedway gateway, bike rest, 10 parasols and bicycle parking.
