RATP traffic will be "very reduced" on Sunday by the unlimited strike against pension reform: on the metro side, only the two automatic lines will operate and on the RER side, only the RER B will run partially and on a reduced schedule, the management said on Saturday a statement.

Like last Sunday, almost all the metro lines will be closed, only lines 1, 14, as well as Orlyval, which serves Orly airport, near Paris, having to run "normally and all day".

RER A will also be closed all day long and only one RER B out of three will operate "from Massy and Robinson towards Gare du Nord only between 12:00 and 6:00 pm," said RATP.

Travelers are therefore "invited" to turn to the "surface network", the agency anticipating "almost normal traffic on the Tramway network" while "2 out of 3 buses will run on average".

On Monday, traffic should remain "very disrupted" and similar to Friday, with normal operation of the automatic lines, according to the details of the RATP, which will be refined on Sunday.

On Monday, metro lines 3bis, 5, 6, 7bis, 12 and 13 should therefore be closed all day, while lines 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be partially operated during peak hours (6:30 am to 9:00 am, 16h30-19h30). Lines 2 and 11 will be open "for the morning peak" and line 3 "for the evening peak".

"The RER A will run at the rate of one train out of two and the RER B at the level of one train out of three", at peak times.

On the tram side, traffic "will be almost normal" and two out of three buses should run on average.

On the SNCF side, the traffic on Sunday should be in line with that on Saturday, the first day of the school holidays, with only half of the TGVs in circulation, 30% of the TER (partly by coach), 20% of the Transilien (RER SNCF and trains suburban) and one in four Intercités trains. There should be fewer trains on Monday, according to the railway group.

The company, which announced on Wednesday, for safety reasons, the suspension for the weekend of its service taking care of children from 4 to 14 years old, was able to reinstate it for Sunday with 5,000 seats on 14 exceptional TGVs.
