British tourists have returned again to the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea in South Sinai, after the British government decided to cancel the ban on international flights to the coastal city airport.

Last Thursday, the first direct British flights, coming from Birmingham, with 110 passengers on board, arrived at Sharm El Sheikh Airport, according to an official of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.

The official added that "InterAir will organize one trip per week from Britain to Sharm El Sheikh during the current winter season," adding that the number of flights from Britain to Sharm El Sheikh will increase during the summer season.
