A deputy in the Iraqi parliament revealed that there are 48 people who applied to Iraqi President Barham Salih to compete for the position of the new prime minister, and the Construction Alliance announced that he represents the largest bloc in parliament, and that he presented his candidate to the Iraqi president, while the Independent High Commission for Human Rights called Iraq, the government to take effective measures to reduce assassination and kidnapping crimes against activists, and to conduct immediate investigations into the crimes that have occurred.

In detail, a member of the Iraqi parliament, Representative Abbas Al-Atafi, said in press statements that the resigned government will continue to conduct the work of the executive ministries and others, until a person is appointed to the position of the next prime minister, indicating that the Iraqi President received requests from 48 candidates for the position, and there is no agreement On any of these characters so far.

He added: «Some candidates have submitted personal requests, while others have been nominated by parties, some of whom have been proposed by the blocs in the demonstration squares. Al-Atafi stressed the need for the next prime minister to be an independent figure of the new youth, and he does not have another nationality, and indicated that the current gatherings Which nominates the majority of prime ministers chosen from those outside Iraq.

Iraqi sources indicate that the conflict is currently taking place between the political blocs and the People's Front led by the demonstrators, to present a candidate to form the new government, and some parties insist on providing the names of personalities who are rejected by the demonstrators who want figures who did not enter the political process previously.

The Construction Alliance, led by Hadi Al-Amri, announced that a delegation from the coalition will meet the President of the Federal Court and the President of the Republic, to discuss the issue of naming the major bloc and the candidate for prime minister, pointing out that the alliance represents the largest bloc in Parliament. The name of the coalition candidate for prime minister has been submitted to the President of the Republic, and the Federal Court is concerned with resolving the controversy over the major bloc.

In addition, the head of the Independent High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq, Dr. Aqeel al-Musawi, said that the commission is still exerting pressure on the Iraqi government to take effective measures that reduce assassination and kidnapping crimes that affect activists, conduct immediate investigations, and inform the public about its results. "We demand full protection for the demonstration squares," Moussawi said during a meeting with British Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hickey.

In addition, a police source reported that the protesters withdrew from the Al-Ahrar Bridge and Al-Wathba Square towards Tahrir Square, indicating the gradual return of normal life to Al-Wathba Square and Al-Rashid Street, and the owners of the shops to reopen their stores, and the source said that some of the protesters cleaned the demonstration places before Its departure, in cooperation with the security forces.
