For the first time, and in conjunction with the entry of new and newly-serviced tractors, the Egyptian Railways Authority dedicated a uniform of “suit, graffiti and cap” to each train driver to appear aesthetically appropriate to the development work taking place in the facility.

The new dress began to appear during an inspection tour of the Minister of Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir, to the governorates of Minya and Assiut, where he met the captain of the 980 train heading from Cairo to Minya, and his assistant, before the start of the trip at the Egyptian Railway Station, and they wore a new uniform "suit, craft and cap", and also The tractor tractor was inspected, which is one of the new tractors that recently arrived at the port of Alexandria as part of a deal to manufacture and supply 110 new trains from American General Electric.

The railway authorities ’obligation to train drivers to wear uniforms assigned to them comes in line with the development work taking place in the facility, and in light of the minister’s emphasis on increasing discipline and achieving the slogan of“ safe, disciplined, and clean railways ”.

A source at the Railways Authority revealed in statements to the Egyptian newspapers that the uniform is a suit with a "dark blue color", explaining that the uniform is not the result of the moment, but is spent twice every year for each of the train drivers, pointing out that this costume is activated for more than 100 years, and it is spent through public services and stores.

The source pointed out that during the summer, (2 trousers and 2 shirts) are spent, and in the winter (a winter suit, kraft, jazz, Balto or blazer) during the benefits schedules for each train leader within the operating regulations.

He said that more than three thousand train leaders received their uniforms from the stores during the month of December, in light of the necessity to obligate them during work starting from or January of the new 2020, stressing: "Anyone who violates this will be subject to a penalty."
