In South Africa, the Fighters for Economic Freedom (EFF) party held its major electoral conference, the second only since its inception six years ago. At the head, the charismatic Julius Malema has just been re-elected for five years on the night of December 14-15.
Julius Malema started the electoral conference of the radical Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leftist party with a strong gesture: he prohibited access to four press titles which often investigate suspicions of corruption in the within the party.
Julius Malema accuses them of being sold to capitalism and to South African whites. “ South African journalists, stop being in denial ! he cursed. You have been infiltrated by a well-structured spy organization. It has corrupted many journalistic editors and uses the information you collect as you wish . ”

Economic Freedom Fighters (@EFFSouthAfrica) December 15, 2019Conspiracy rhetoric
Accustomed to the blows of brilliance, Julius Malema uses more and more this rhetoric of the conspiracy. Confession of weakness or real relentlessness? " When you hear these kinds of accusations and they are not supported by evidence, that leaves you in perplexity and you wonder why he keeps mentioning them , answers the political analyst Khaya Sithole. It is a strategist speech that political initiates do not take seriously. But the reality is that a lot of people believe in it and think that there is material behind these words ”.
The big winner of this conference, Julius Malema was elected without opposition, as was his executive committee. The founder and leader takes up all the space within the party, so much so that it seems impossible to see an EFF without Julius Malema. Since its creation, the radical left party has shaken up South African political life to the point of becoming the country's third force today.
