NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg assumed the role of the waiter and provided food to employees at NATO headquarters in Brussels, after delivering a speech on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the organization, and was accompanied by his deputy, Mircea Geoana and his assistant, Tajan Eldem.

NATO spokeswoman Oana Longescu said the event comes in the context of the alliance's celebrations of the seventieth anniversary of its founding, and to express gratitude to all staff "for the wonderful work they have done."

Stoltenberg - the former Norwegian Prime Minister - took over as Secretary-General of NATO in early October 2014, succeeding the Danish Anders Fogh Rasmussen who took office from April 2009 to the end of September 2014.

Stoltenberg was born in 1959 in Oslo in a political family, and his father was Minister of Defense, then for Foreign Affairs, while his mother was Minister of State, studied economics at the University of Oslo, and served as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Environment from 1990 to 1991, and Minister of Industry from 1993 to 1996, Minister of Finance from 1996 to 1997, member of Parliament from Oslo since 1993, and has chaired the Norwegian Labor Party since 2002.

During his entire political career, Stoltenberg wanted to be close to people to get to know their views on his performance, and was very popular in his country.
