The regional director Anneli Snobl left her post at Region Värmland on November 30. She received SEK 2.8 million in a parachute when she resigned, after renegotiating her agreement. An agreement that was not informed to the other parties in the regional council.

The Social Democrats in Region Värmland have previously been critical of the generous settlement and asked a number of questions at the regional board's working committee last week.

Only mandate to renegotiate

According to (S), the answers given that President Fredrik Larsson (M) showed a mandate to renegotiate terms of employment for the regional director on the basis of a document called "Instruction for the regional director".

After looking more closely at the document, Ulric Andersson and two of his party colleagues on the board now feel that it is not right, therefore, for Fredrik Larsson to make such a decision himself, or to delegate it, which causes them to ask further questions about the matter.

- If this is a question of the board, he has gone beyond his powers. We are part of the board ourselves, so it is good if we have control over what is being done, says Ulric Andersson.

"Are there more similar agreements?"

Ulric Andersson and his party mates on the board also have more thoughts on the subject.

- Are there more agreements that have passed our eyes, or what?

The issue is likely to be discussed at the Board meeting on December 17.

We are looking for Fredrik Larsson (M) to get a comment.
