by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea December 7, 2019There are at least 30 people who have shown symptoms of suspected food or environmental poisoning in a hotel in Val Ridanna, in South Tyrol. The authorities immediately activated the health emergency protocol.

The first symptoms were felt during dinner. Within a few minutes several people began to experience the same disorders, those of dysentery.

On the spot, the 118 health personnel and the local Fire Brigade intervened, while also from Bolzano there were ambulance matches and the Permanent Fire Brigade Corps.

It was the doctor who intervened in the place that triggered the protocol for widespread poisoning.

Cases of suspected intoxication occurred in a well-known 4-star hotel, frequented mainly by families. Val Ridanna is a side valley of the Alta Valle Isarco, not far from the Brenner.

For the moment there are no reports on the health conditions of patients who should not be worrying. The causes of illness remain to be clarified, because it could be both food poisoning and environmental poisoning.

In Bolzano, full of tourists who came to the city to visit the traditional Christmas market, the numerous ambulances and vehicles of the firefighters with sirens that were directed towards the highway were no less surprising.
