Frenchwoman Béryl Gastaldello won the silver medal in the 100m at the European Short Course Swimming Championships, as the day before on the 50m butterfly Friday in Glasgow (Scotland).

Gastaldello, who finished in 51 sec 85, was only beaten by Britain's Freya Anderson (51.49).

For Gastaldello (24), who had never been on an individual international podium before the Scottish week, this is the second medal of the competition, after the silver medal, already, on 50 m butterfly the day before, behind another French woman, Mélanie Hénique.

The team of France harvests its third medal of the competition.
